Welcome to the website of the National Kidney Foundation of South Africa.
We hope visitors to our site will find interesting information of a clinical nature,
as well as useful and interesting advice on preventing kidney disease, through healthy
eating and lifestyle. Our ultimate objective is to prevent kidney disease and assist
in the treatment of kidney patients, especially the poor. We do this through education
and awareness, research grants, funding of treatment, and support for the indigent.
Knowledge is power, and to this end we also support the development of outreach
programmes, international contact and the establishment of a kidney disease registry.
To all our donors, benefactors and partners in the past a warm word of thanks for
their support. Without you we would not have been able to do what we have done.
"There is a difference between passive goodness and active goodness, which is, in
my opinion, the giving of one's time and energy in the alleviation of pain and suffering.
It entails going out, finding, and helping those who are suffering and in danger,
and not merely in leading an exemplary life in a purely passive way by doing no
wrong." - Sir Nicholas Winton. If you would like to live out these wise words you
can show your support by making a donation.

financially in any of the following ways:
- By making a once-off donation;
- By making a monthly or annual donation; or
- By leaving a donation in your will.
Please contact us at nkfsa@mweb.co.za
for more information on how to do this.

|
