Short-term Research Grants; Short term research grants are offered from time
to time over a period of one or two years. This award is normally for smaller research
projects and can be made to an individual or a group. A notice will be sent to all
units and training facilities when the grants are being offered and interested parties
will be invited to enquire about the details and terms and conditions for any such
grants.
Charlotte Roberts Travel Award
The Charlotte Roberts Travel Award is awarded every second year. This is intended
to enable junior research workers to travel abroad to learn new techniques, or to
travel within South Africa for the same purpose. The Charlotte Roberts Travel Award
is awarded through the generous sponsorship of the Charlotte Roberts Trust and the
NKFSA acknowledges their commitment to research.
National Kidney Foundation Adcock Ingram Research Award
The Group Research Award is normally offered annually and paid out over a period
of two years. The award is offered to an individual or group for larger research
projects in nephrology and all units and training facilities will be advised when
this award becomes available.
